Baron Laurence Warren was the oldest son of Sir John Warren and Eleanor Gerard. He married first Margaret Leigh and with her had all of his children. Edward, Laurence, George, Randle, Richard and nine daughters, Cicely, Mabel, Ellen, Margaret, Dorothy, Anne, Katherine, Jane and Isabel. Laurence’s second wife was Sybil, widow of William Honford, about 1525, with no known children.

Laurence was the son of John de Warren, Baron of Stopfords and Eleanor Gerrard. Laurence Warren, Esq. married first Margaret, daughter of Sir Piers (also called Perkin) Leigh of Lyme, Cheshire, England.The marriage settlement, dated July 1494, Lawrence being then eighteen years of age, provides, that if he died before consummation, another son was to marry her.
